Career Opportunities in Research (COR)
at
San Francisco State University

Career Opportunities in Research Program is a great opportunity for SFSU students to receive mentoring and financial support to help them prepare for doctoral programs in mental health.

COR is a two-year mentoring program that focuses on research and professional development. Students receive a scholarship and work closely with a faculty mentor. Likewise past and current students in our COR Program have represented many cultures and countries (China, Philippines, Burma, Japan, Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama, Cuba, Venezuela, Argentina, Peru, South East India, Iran). In addition we have students of African American heritage. Over half of our COR students are first generation immigrants, while about 2/3 are the first in their family to go to college. Every year we have several COR students who represent the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community.
